That picture was perfect. Mmmm, Giles. Off to look at moon calendars!

I ditto Downtown Abbey. I'm definitely more of a Buffy/Veronica Mars girl (oooh, VM! if you haven't watched it) but I got totally hooked.

This past year has been so horrible health, job, friend and family wise that I am seriously thinking about doing some sort of cleansing ceremony. Not a body cleanse, but like sort of .. I don't know, something to change the energy going on?

Another smoothie suggestion - throw some Nutella in with a banana and yogurt. You need some calories to help you heal. Are you using ice packs? Etc.?

Have you seen the Joan Rivers documentary? That was great.

I had so much free stuff that the shelter near me threw an impromptu spa day. Just don't give anything that's clearly been used.

I love socks! I think that's the line of demarcation for child/adult. Suddenly the idea of wool or cashmere or fleece socks is just what you want !

I had animals when I was in college and broke. When you have animals, you look for apartments that take animals. It's really not hard. It just takes about five minutes of effort. At the end of the day, you accepted responsibility for an animal, and it was your responsibility to take care of it.

I am hoping that you did the actual grown-up thing and found a family to take your cat. Otherwise, you are basically killing an animal over a couch. I can't even imagine putting an animal to sleep because of a piece of furniture.

I don't know how much you want to spend, but I like Project Night Night, which provides homeless children with pjs, a book, and their own security blanket and stuffed animal - for $20. [www.projectnightnight.org]

I don't see why $350 wouldn't be more than enough, unless you're eating a lot of processed food, red meat and fish, which are expensive.

Sure!

yeah, it's all going to a charity store where the proceeds go to AIDS research. But still, they spent actual money on this stuff. Don't you think they'd rather it'd be something I'd actually use? Like is it that much harder to get me wool socks or coffee?

So my family all ignored my wish list and got me stuff that
