She's been married for a while. I'm glad that she likes her husband, but it's sort of to the point where I feel like she doesn't want to hang out with me anymore. I wish she'd just say that she's busy instead of making plans with me - and then inviting her husband after.

Advice needed - My friend used to be all independent and cool, and now she refuses to do anything without her husband. I will invite her to do things, and she will say yes and then.. say .. "oh, do you mind if Mike comes?"

I'm so sorry about your doggie. It's so hard that we don't live as long as we do. I'm all for the wallow. Wallowing is fine.

Were you also wearing snowflake pjs? Awesome!

Being social isn't hard - you just have to get people to talk about themselves. Did you see X movie or hear about the rock climbing wall at Y? Or come up with something brilliant - I was walking by Central Park and they were talking about reprising the Christo exhibit (they're not) wouldn't that be awesome!

Sometimes, I throw parties and then when everyone gets here, I just want them to leave. I'm sure there's some logic to this.. somehow!

I like being invited places, yet hate having to go. I'd love to be one of those girls who is invited to tons of holiday parties - but the thought of having to dress up and wear heels and be all social? Horror. I was actually invited to do things this weekend, yet spent tonight watching Sister Wives and Drop Dead

I'm with Teebear and the laser pointer. But honestly, each of my cats seems to do this on random days. Suddenly they just have a LOT to say and no amount of playing, food and schmoochies make a difference.

OK, can we talk about the FNL finale? I watched it late on Netflix and am so sad! I miss me some Tim Riggins.

I realize I'm late to this game, but I seriously was going to put this Adele song on a CD and SEND IT TO MY EX WHO JUST GOT MARRIED. Only the fact that I don't know their new address stopped me. Also, I'm way too old to be pulling that shit.

broccoli/string beans - veggies that cook fast go in last. carrots go in first as they take longer.

Wait, you have a paper due on Tuesday and they don't tell you what the paper is on until Saturday night? I would not wait until teacher evaluations. Tell your adviser now, or go to the chair. Don't let your grade suffer. I'm saying that and I'm an actual college professor. My students would have rioted by now.

um, at this point in the semester, shouldn't you know that the papers are always due on Tuesday? What does the prompt do, exactly?

Hi there -

you might also want to call the local paper or tv station. Sometimes just a call from a reporter gets things moving..

Nah, they suck it up for a couple minutes. They go into corpse pose and pretend the whole thing isn't happening. Then they refuse to sleep in the bed and demand extra treats. Someone is the boss in this house and it. is. not. me.

My cats suffer when I see these kind of stories, or the SPCA commercials. Because then I stalk them for the rest of the night and force schmoochies upon them as they roll about on their electric blanket with their catnip toys and treats. The sad thing is that when I saw 12 cats, my first thought was - that isn't that

How much should a sponsor push a newcomer? I've been in about six weeks. My third meeting, someone came up to me and asked if she could be my sponsor. I was the first person she sponsored, ever. She gave me this whole talk about how her sponsor helped her through rough times and she wouldn't give up on me.
