That’s actually not ideal. The current setup is specifically because this is a passion project that they did not intend to monetize, and they have been able to focus on it solely because of the support of the folks who play their game. They would not want to relinquish their code to anybody (and have rebuffed any

While DF has supported tilesets for quite some time now, the entire UI is going to receive an overhaul after the latest content patch. This includes new features for graphics sets that will be available in both the Steam and Classic branches, support for sound, and an interface update. The Steam version will also be

One thing you’ll note is that the praise is always accompanied by a phrase akin to “ridiculous bullshit.” Because it is. The series is completely, utterly goofy in concept and execution, and that’s why it’s charming and fun. It’s not meant to be truly taken seriously in any way. FFXV, however, is very much a classic

There’s a world of difference between playing a game with a friend or two and playing an MMO. Among other things, the scale of an MMO limits the complexity of the mechanics at play, which in turn limits what players can do; further, having huge numbers of people running around diminishes the “chosen hero” storyline of

There’s a difference between “being callous towards workers” and understanding how corporations are structured. That said, these layoffs weren’t directed towards underperforming sections of the company, from the description, but were rather arbitrary, exemplifying the worst traits of poorly run corporations. While

Did you actually read the article? The people cut were in areas of the company that were not producing any value. That means that they weren’t producing profitable products, nor were they in any way increasing the good will of consumers (like you) in the company. They were literally costing the company money while not

While Videl, who is a regular human being, shows impressive fighting potential in a series full of extraterrestrial threats, Jiren is one of the strongest characters in the Dragon Ball universe.

Steam never demanded exclusives, those publishers decided to be exclusive to Steam. Personally, I wind up boycotting those platforms by default, because exclusivity raises a barrier to playing the games I want to play. With the amount of games available, even that level of extra effort winds up not being worth it.

Eh, I’m simply no longer interested. As someone who probably would have picked up the game at some point, they raised the barrier to entry enough for me to not even bother. And if you think about it, that’s the real cost here. Not the people who are completely outraged (there’s a large faction that will generate

It’s worth pointing out that this is generally only true about older Clancy novels. Earlier novels, like Hunt for Red October and Clear and Present Danger, actually express different viewpoints. Clear and Present Danger, in particular, is about the abuse of political power. Its only when the focus shifted from the

FFXI still sees continuing, if small, updates.

Ah, a post where an Oglaf cartoon may be inappropriately appropriate!

You forgot Twitch and Discord.

Companies are going to push marketing. It’s how people are informed that new products are available. That part is inevitable. Paying people to talk on their behalf in a personal manner is far more harmless than billboards and other advertising.

So, you prefer annoying popup ads, popover movies, interruptions in streaming video, and ever encroaching and obnoxious television advertising. Got it.

You might want to tweak that title a bit.

All three accusations were publicized via “Patheos.” Patheos is a “faith and spirituality discussion” website.

Just treat it as another example of why complaining about old engines is generally pretty silly. Between designer creativity and engine upgrades, you can push one to do some pretty amazing things.

So what you’re saying is, you don’t actually care about civilian lives if they aren’t ours, you just don’t want to feel directly responsible for them. Gotcha.

The 2016 Hitman is, sadly, no longer available for sale, perhaps because it is available for Hitman 2 as essentially DLC. Given that it’s twenty bucks as DLC, that’s not terribly bad. Of course, those of us with the first game get the DLC for free, as well.
