So what you’re saying is, you don’t actually care about civilian lives if they aren’t ours, you just don’t want to feel directly responsible for them. Gotcha.

Also, it already comes in a convenient box that packs nicely and has less plastic waste! Presumably, anyhow.
The real issue is that Amazon is as much a marketplace as it is a retailer. You’re about as likely to buy from and have goods shipped from a third party as from Amazon itself, which does drastically affect how the goods arrive.
Fun fact! Salt was traditionally one of the few ways to contain or block evil spirits.
The 2016 Hitman is, sadly, no longer available for sale, perhaps because it is available for Hitman 2 as essentially DLC. Given that it’s twenty bucks as DLC, that’s not terribly bad. Of course, those of us with the first game get the DLC for free, as well.
There’s a reason bug bounty programs are so popular. Rewarding people for finding bugs is so much more cost effective than letting people take advantage of one until you notice it yourself.
That is literally what the bug bounty program is for. Multiple developers have bug bounty programs available, where people reporting bugs can get a range of cash rewards for their work. You should be happy that there are people out there who apparently have a stronger moral compass than yourself.
The phrase “no real good reason” is telling, here. That’s a value judgement being made by you about a series of conflicts that you are likely not fully informed about.
Anybody who thinks that there’s any aspect of war to be happy about should have their priorities checked. War should be avoided wherever possible, and accepted as a grim necessity to be ended as swiftly and decisively as possible where not. The idea with drone strikes was to attempt to end the conflict in a swifter…
The statistics given are for the conflicts as a whole, not just drone strikes, since drone strikes replaced troops on the ground. It’s a better way to evaluate things in general.
They weren’t oblivious. They underestimated the degree. And you’re allowed to disagree, but if you can’t understand why telling someone to their face that what they’ve spent the last year or more working on is a joke, that what they’ve poured time and effort and invested personally in is trash, is an abusive thing to…
You do realize that “people risking their lives” includes more than just the military, right? We’re talking about people, in general, who put themselves in dangerous situations specifically to perform actions that are a direct benefit to you. When someone does something to benefit someone else at risk to themselves,…
I do agree that respecting the veterans means giving them the support they deserve and were promised. It’s also worth noting that “honoring our troops” isn’t synonymous with sending them off to get shot, necessarily (for some reason, a lot of people aligned with the military seem to think that disapproving of a war is…
You completely ignored the second half of my comment talking about lower civilian casualties. The first half was meant to address one of the main campaign promises of Obama, reducing the number of our troops dying overseas.
I mentioned in my original comment that civilian deaths caused by Americans had also dropped. That’s important data when having this discussion.
Actually, that’s incorrect. My data was pulled from a third party anti-drone humanitarian organization and the UN’s own independent data, not from the US military. These are the people on the ground cleaning up after the drone strikes. There’s an increase in civilian deaths, but that’s directly tied to actions by the…
You completely missed the part about fewer civilian casualties caused by American engagements. Drone strikes killed fewer civilians than having people on the ground attacking the same targets. It’s an important distinction, since the criticism has been that they have been targeting civilians.
Fun fact, while Obama did vastly increase the number of drone strikes, his administration also saw far fewer American casualties than the W. Bush administration, a decline of over 60%. I couldn’t find figures on the numbers of dead on the other sides of the conflicts, however.
You’re right, people should just stop risking their lives under the belief that it in any way helps you.
Respect for veterans because they put their lives on the line for low pay and no real support after they return, for subjecting themselves to life-threatening and life-altering situations because they were ordered to, with the understanding that they are doing it so we don’t have to. In some cases because it’s one of…
