The whole region needs to let go of their territorial grudges. They already consume each other’s media and goods, yet this crazy nationalistic infighting flares up at the drop of a hat.

There is much that is incorrect in your statements. This is an example of geopolitics pushing into gaming, and Taiwan is an independent nation from China, however much they may pretend otherwise.

And Cup Noodle.

I think you’ll do just fine. The only real requirement for enjoying PUBG is being able to enjoy losing, given that it’s the average end state for the game. Adopt a Dwarf Fortress style attitude (“losing is FUN!”) and enjoying the game right up to that point is pretty much the key.

Counterpoint. There is little that is as wonderful as a BLT. Mayo adds to the flavor of a BLT, while ketchup overwhelms it, destroying the flavor balance. For crimes against BLTs, I must side with Mayo.

No, there are objectively better and worse ways to upscale a game. For example, using camera tricks (soft focus, selective lighting, etc) to keep the focus on the characters during cutscenes to avoid overwhelming the viewer. These are valid complaints. However, there is no mental trick involved in low res images, they

There’s something funny about that Warcraft splash screen you got there...

Your brain isn’t working harder with a less clear picture. You just can’t see the blemishes as easily. What you’re literally arguing is that a grainy photo is better than a photo taken with proper adjustments for lighting, which is demonstrably false.

This is a real principle, but it’s also limited in how it works. It works well for limited FPS (see movies), but not so much for artwork that’s not inherently good. That’s the difference between a game that ages well and one which does not. An excellent example is the difference between Final Fantasy VI and VII. Both

There is a legitimate argument for LPs, in that they record at analog quality (1:1 accurate). Older LPs are low quality solely because of the recording tech available at the time. VHS, however, is a lossy digital format and has nothing going for it.

There’s nothing sad about a well-honed butcher knife.

Oracle. When Batgirl had an unfortunate encounter with the Joker, she wound up wheelchair bound. Her response? She became the co-ordinator for the Batman team, gathering and managing information and feeding it to Batman, Nightwing, and the others. She’s back to being Batgirl again, but yeah. That’s a level of

Bah, that mustache isn’t nearly as impressive.

Turns out, cities have a lot of hallways. Who knew?

Knowledge bias. The laser lasso thing is “spy tech” that is readily handwaved, but you know how a gun works and know that that isn’t how it works. The point of suspension of disbelief is to follow as many known laws of the world portrayed as possible to allow the fantastic elements the grounding needed, and having

Deadpool wasn’t produced by Disney. Neither was Daredevil. Both were licensed from Marvel and produced by other studios (Fox and Netflix, respectively).

“Returning the kindness” isn’t getting things done. If you can’t walk away and do what needs to be done, you’re just as bad as the people you’re yelling at. Let it go and get to work.

Screaming “Bernie” is just as bad as screaming “Hillary.” Let it go and focus on what’s important, actually making progress. You know how you don’t do that? By yelling at people.

Not a patent, a trademark. There’s a distinct difference. Amazon announced that they are entering the field of ready-to-cook fresh food and that’s what sent investors scrambling, not a patent filing.
