No Sonic Adventure wasn’t REALLY open-world, it was more hub-based.

I disagree, I feel like Mario has gotten stuck in a rut and I lost interest in those games a decade ago as a result, whereas I feel like Sonic always does something interesting enough to keep me coming back.

Oh maybe ya know they know they don’t NEED to work on Sonic because fans like me aren’t nearly as unpleasable as you lot are. Sonic does not need cel-shading(they actually did already do that for Sonic Shuffle and it didn’t look that great)

Speed works fine in the 3-D Sonic games especially in levels like Speed Highway, Jim Sterling made a good point when they said that critics of Sonic focus WAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY TOO much on the speed aspect and forget that Sonic games need good platforming as well and can’t JUST be nonstop speed all the time.

Nah Sega grasps it just fine as Sonic is fun to control in 3-D
