I actually watched part of this interview. (Don’t shoot me, it’s mindless stuff to watch while I’m working.) She said her grandfather gave it to her - it was one of this ranch trucks. That was when I skipped ahead to Colin Hanks, so I have no further information.

The actor who voiced Disney’s Aladdin also played Steve (DJ’s boyfriend) on Full House. #90strivia

No, I’m not fucking dense. Thanks for asking!

I agree. If ever the climate was right for this, it’s now. I just don’t want to see us fall down the same click-baity tin foil hole that the other side was wallowing in for so many years. We have to keep our facts straight and stay level-headed.

Yes, I agree with you completely. If ever there was a time for this bill to actually pass, it would be now, and we should definitely be concerned and contact our reps. The only reason I posted is that I’m becoming concerned with the click-baity reactionary stuff I’m starting to see coming from our side now. We need to

While this certainly fits with the nationalist tone of our new administation, I just want to be “that guy” and point out that this exact same bill has been introduced to every new Congress for the last 20 years. We all need to be alert, but this may not be the harbinger of doom that it appears to be at first glance.

Easy mistake to make. No one would ever expect to see him in a white hat. The bad guys always wear black hat.

I will join this club.

This is reassuring!

Yep. Between this and the Bush daughters’ letter to Sasha and Malia I’ve been having a lot of feels on behalf of the Bush family lately. It’s Bizarro World up in here.

I’ve always had a strange affection for GHWB. Maybe it’s because he’s the first president I really remember. I remember Reagan, but HW was the first I was really aware of in the news and popular culture (SNL/Dana Carvey for example). He’s like my grandpa president.

Politics aside, I do send him my best wishes. I also feel for W, who I’m sure would rather spend time with his father than be at the inauguration. Because real talk, “responding well to treatments” at age 92 is pretty guarded language.

I feel like Amy Adams could have pulled this off without the facial prosthetics.

I come from a dairy farming family - my grandparents milked 40 cows who all had names and got plenty of attention - so I’m hard wired to explain the process to people who have concerns. I can’t help it. I’ll also say that having experienced life on a small dairy, I can’t help but cringe when I drive by a 5000 cow

I can see an objection to insemination, but a modern dairy cow (bred by AI) produces one calf per year, which is basically the same (one calf/year) birth rate as a herd bred cow on the range. Obviously range cattle are more susceptible to predation by mountain lions and wolves and whatnot. The difference is that dairy

I assume the argument is that placenta is a by-product of birth? Couldn’t you then argue that milk is also a by-product of birth? I have no dog in the fight - I eat meat, and try to do it responsibly. Just an interesting point of discussion. I’ve never pondered the vegetarian/vegan status of placenta.

I’m pretty sure that once we white people like something, we’ve ruined it for everyone else.

Yeah, anyone who is concerned about Wayne Brady’s singing skills has obviously not been paying attention.

I looked after my previous reply too. They *are* slightly more expensive than when my mom bought hers 30-some years ago. That’s too bad.

Making buttons is super simple. My mom owns a button maker and I used to make buttons for funsies all the time when I was a kid. If I had time I’d be all over this in my Etsy store.
