If you have a Costco membership, their Kirkland brand pretty foods are pretty good. They are not 100% grain free, but they are low grain, and much more reasonably priced than the high end foods. One of my dogs gets itchy on crappy kibble, but he does really well on the Costco brand.

I'm doing my first ultra-marathon in about 5 weeks. I'm told the ultra community is designed for slow people who can be slow all day.

In my first half marathon, I got passed by a race-walker at mile 3. Dude passed me WALKING at 10 min/mile pace (6 mph). Talk about a kick in the balls. I did sprint mile 12 and I caught that motherfucker about 1/2 mile from the finish.

I ran my first marathon last fall in Chicago, and woke up the morning before with a monster head cold. I was much slower than I'd planned, but did not have to be carried off the course. You'll do fine. Good luck!
