Boo Hoo, 36 mpg. Seems preposterous except I’m getting a combined 39.4 inception to date (10,000 miles) on a Legacy. That’s not exactly a small car, plus AWD, plus I drive fast and mash the pedal freely.
That is exactly how CAFE standards work, and historically they have worked to keep fleet economy at whatever standard that was set.
