Didn’t we all learn from Jalopnik earlier this year, those lap times are not accomplished in 1 lap? They make laps for days & only count the fastest times of each section of track. The stated lap time is an amalgamation of fast sections.

I still feel the original “the pass” should have warranted a penalty of sorts and not ended up getting the win. If you have to go all 4 wheels off track to make the pass, it’s not legitimate pass.
