I’m sorry your band didn’t make it 25 years ago and you are STILL soooooo mad. Because that’s the best comparison I can make. It’s a long shot for a lot of these people and some of them are putting off ‘real life’ but when it pays off it pays. When it doesn’t you get on with your life.

I only consider “cheating” that affects muliplayer (or other players in less direct ways) to be cheating, for anything that’s single player only, I don’t really consider anything to be “cheating.” It’s your game, play however you want.
