Depending on if they’re immediate family or not.
When I was a young lad in the military i drove from SV to VA a dozen times or so. I passed it up the first couple of times but when I finally dedicated some time to stop I was so disappointed. I don’t know what I expected but I turned to hating those signs after that visit.
I’ll never forget opening my eyes after hearing the terrifying rumble just in time to see the acoustical ceiling crack. Then I was on my feet without moving a muscle - then stuck trying to open the doors - especially the standard issue LA security screen door. I eventually made it outside to watch the night sky…
I grew up just a few blocks from the epicenter of that, which was actually Reseda - not Northridge. That was a violent earthquake. Pretty sure I have PTSD from that.
I just now realized how dangerous of a sport this is for a spectator:
I feel more confident about how we as a specie will deal with climate change.
I think this is 100% correct.
I like to drive with thick socks on when on a road trip - but I always keep proper shoes nearby - in the cab. That’s the only exception.
I was going to tell you since I know the area but you’ve spent at least 30 sec on google and figured it out.
Hate that. People tend to do that more often on one way streets for some reason.
1 - People slam the doors. I had a classic truck and everyone slammed the shit out of the door.
I’d say keep at least one more of those ignition module boxes in the vehicle at all times. What I have found is the ‘new replacement’ modules are built in such a way that they don’t last very long. And when they go, your on the side of the road until you get another box.
Came to say the same. I especially love the long tail lights. And the silly commercial.
One of the worst decisions I made was to sell the dentside I had:
I for one whole heartedly aggree that mass auto makers have been making lame colors for far to long. The new Toyota and Subaru color palate is really appealing to my eyes.
If I’m not mistaken, that SOCAL. Where it hardly rains - so all the months of traffic depositing oil/rubber or whatever becomes super slick when it rains. Not to mention that commuters don’t have much experience driving under slick conditions. Big ass bumpy grooves are necessary.
Great stuff. I haven’t seen heard or thought of those in years. An effective analogy to be sure.
Wasn’t sure what I was looking for, but I found it. Thanks for initiating this puntastic thread.
Top work mate, I just bought me-self ...
