I don’t really get the first point - he didn’t force her to audition, if anything it seems pretty clear from the anecdote that he didn’t want her to. She wanted to so she paid her own way to do so. She could have easily said “fuck this guy, I’m not paying for my own ticket for a job interview.”

Fuck - Ben

I hope there is a storyline to explore some of these outdated ideas of monogamy too. Miranda went about it the wrong way, but I would like a storyline about two adults who want the person they love to explore whatever they want to explore, without it having to be the end of their relationship.

I mean, Charlotte was tremendously out of line with the “you are not progressive enough for this” (which, Wow! What an amazing/horrible thing to say to someone), but what the hell was Carrie’s, “well, cheating on your husband of forever/suddenly experiencing a new sexual identity isn’t a big deal, because it’s not my

Far from a perfect episode, this was at least the first time I felt like I was watching a semblance of the original series. The plastic surgeon scene was a perfect callback to the original humor, and the lunch conversation/argument in the park was the first time the 3 characters behaved like themselves again. (And I

Huh. I honestly thought I’d be the only one to feel that way.

I guess they felt having a ANOTHER funeral (for Stanford) would have been too many funerals. “And just like that, Stanford died also.”

What do you mean “former hottie like Steve?”

I fell for a T8ter Boi. He was really into french fries.

Sorry, the film concludes when the protagonist finally lands the  Nollie to Frontside Tailslide he’s been trying all film, winning Avril’s heart and also saving a youth center in the process.

It’s always nice to see Larry doing some full on physical comedy. The #davidcut of the vows video was great.

What’s weird is seeing so many people in the comments there cop to not liking Norton. I didn’t think he was a national hero or anything, but he’s a better late night host than almost any of his contemporaries, and his show is filled with great moments.

I get what your saying, and their can be a bit of smugness when anyone publicizes their good deeds... but if he’s already going to be in the spotlight for his acting and can influence other rich people to maybe do the same; then good on him.

This case doesn’t seem to be about ego, if anything let’s hope it will inspire others.

Oh FFS

I love his show. My rule of thumb is the fewer guests names I recognize, the funnier it’ll probably be.

This has always been one of my favorite movies, and I couldn’t articulate why I connect with it so much nearly as well as Katie does here. It’s this kind of thoughtful, insightful writing that keeps me coming back to this site.

Said it upthread, but there was a guy almost exactly like that in my hometown. He’d do shirtless handstands against the wall of Store 24 for hours.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt as old as when I realised that I now found Enid fairly exhausting, and Rebecca was the more interesting of the two.

I haven’t seen this in years, but I never considered people would ever see Seymour as even remotely predatory when he was the one being taken advantage of. I remember when Enid seduces him, it really caught me off guard since it didn’t seem like that was the kind of relationship they had.
