Kinda related ( or at least it bugged me):

I love how they treated Lahey on that show. It was always made clear they hated Lahey for being drunk and pathetic and hostile but not because he was gay/bi. His sexual proclivities was a joke the same as any other heterosexual character on there.

My favourite scene of Mr Lahey’s is i think it’s a season from a few years back and he walks blindly backwards towards his car, not taking his mouth off a whiskey bottle, getting in the car and peeling out, never stopping for air while finishing it off.

Something’s rotten in Denmark.

There was an older Dr. Ruth-ish type woman who had her own sex advice show on tv here - she gave good advice, very plain spoken and honest.

I find Whole Foods similarly irritating. Designer sweatpants and Uggs wearing people complaining about the cost of their free range organic chicken to the clerk while the line piles up.

And *never* go to Ikea between end of August - end of September because it’s a students-outfitting-their-apartments never ending nightmare.

“She spends so much money on her hair!” *complains that she looks too much like a dude when she cuts it off to go more low maintenance*

It really does depend on the person. I prefer shopping alone (and doing museums/galleries alone) because i’m always so distracted by how long something is taking - either i’m taking awhile or the other person is. I enjoy it more when i can just take my own time without distractions or feeling pressure to slow down or

Do they wear Canada Goose coats in the winter, too? I live in Toronto and i get down is warm, winters are hard, however i just can’t with these coats anymore, gahhh. Also tired of seeing Blundstones everywhere but my friends swear by them as the ultimate in practical all purpose boot so i’ll give them that one.

She’s a natural.

I’ll go to cheaper games, like the AHL - it’s worth the night out for sure and i enjoy myself i love live sport in general. I just can’t afford the $ for an NHL game here (in a major hockey market).

It’s funny - college hockey isn’t much of a thing here in Canada - like i grew up in a big hockey town and have never seen a college game. Maybe i should next time i visit the US.

I prefer hockey on tv - i just really find the commentary adds a lot to it (and unless you get great seats middle of the rink, it’s not as great sitting in either end).

I once went on a date with a guy i met online who asked me if i had a dog. I did not (though love animals) and then he went into this thing about how he can’t trust a dog person. He said if you have this overwhelming urge to gain control an otherwise free animal, chain it up or walk around with it on a leash - he

I wonder how pissed Paris is that she will be the last of her siblings to marry.

I think it also related to people who are partnered/married for such a long time but now hate each other (or are disinterested at best). I have friends whose parents just *hate* each other, but it’s still ‘preferable’ for them to live with each other because the fear of being alone is worse than disliking the partner
