FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

You're absolutely right, except for one point: I'm easily a grade B- asshole in my daily life.

I came here to make the same comment.  I appreciate you saving me the trouble.

Would Sony/NBC have sinned against any moral principle if they'd just cancelled the show outright, rather than handing it off to a different showrunner?  I mean, surely they're under no obligation to fund or air the show that Harmon creates, right?

I did the binge last summer.  On the plus side, most of the details melted together, which allows me to feel moderately surprised by even some things the show didn't change.  On the minus side, I totally cannot keep straight what happened in what book.

Chris Parnell was always criminally underrated during his time on SNL.  That guy's a comedy machine.

I admit it; I forgot!  It was, in fairness, almost twenty years ago.  Those things tend to get lost amid all the memories of huffing glue and marathon masturbation sessions.

I find her much funnier away from SNL than I ever did on it.  For whatever reason (whether the writing she got, her own instincts, or whatever), she was just not well served by being on the show.  She never quite lived up to the Fey/Poehler/Rudolph/Dratch standard that she had the misfortune of following.

I remember the Grease sketch, but just didn't put it together that it was their farewell; makes sense, though.  And I do recall Hartman singing, now that you mention it.

Yeah, Tracy's contribution was the best part of that farewell.
