Am I the only one who remembers That's Not Yogurt?!!?

On the one hand, boy bands ain't what they used to be.  On the other, I keep getting older, but they stay the saaaaaaaaaame age.

"Almost Pizza" was the highlight of the night; it was maybe even a little funnier than the first time they did that fake-ad, back when it was called "That's Not Yogurt."

Can't wait to see the Phillies fans take over the Nats' park this year.  Again.  And again.  And again.

Yeah, even sub-par Dr. Spaceman appearances are better than most other things that happen on sitcoms.

Yeah … I don't think it was bad, and Rabin's BS about character development or whatever is still BS, but it was a little self-cannibalizing.

I thought it was funny because it was uncomfortable to sit through; it was weirdly naked, given how artificial the character has always been.  Jenna's been a consistent strong point for the show this season, I think.

How on earth does it take three hours to write the same shitty review every week?

[in a high-pitched, foppish voice] SCAN-dal! [minces]

My problem with the newspaper plot was that Simon made it about heroes and villains.  Whether that was because he didn't have sufficient emotional distance from the real-life folks on whom the characters were based, or it was just laziness, I don't know; but I thought it fell far short of the standards the show set

Definitely the funniest episode since the return from the hiatus.  Didn't love it as much as many seem to (I think it's a solid B+), but this was definitely more like the Community I enjoy.

How about this, David Simon: I'll never fail to mention that two of the main plots of season 5 (the newspaper and the serial killer) were complete shit and I'll be much more forthcoming about the fact that season 4 didn't avoid sentimentality as well as everyone likes to say, and in return, you try to fuck your own

There's gonna be a new Metric album?  Awesome.

But this year's Olympics have the added excitement and suspense of seeing how and how well the groundskeepers at the AELTC manage to provide fresh grass for the Wimbledon lawns!

It didn't start out that way, but if we stick to the last 4 episodes of each? Yeah.  New Girl's been far funnier than Community.

Holy shit, that Kaka goal.

Oh lord, please spare us a 'Clasico' in the CL final.

So, just so I'm clear, the reviewer gave this episode (which was among the funniest of a steadily-improving season) a B- because, what, he "[felt] unmoved by how that violation [of Jess' trust] affects the characters?"  Unmoved?!

None of those things struck me as bad as leaving Quarles with the hookers, I guess.  Duffy's play was close, considering how high he was on just killing Quarles and being done with it he was at the beginning of this and the end of the last episodes.

I don't think they need to have a sympathetic villain to make things really hum; though I've been hot and cold on him, Quarles could've been a strong, compelling and nevertheless completely amoral and depraved antagonist — if they'd given him more room to breathe.
