Biden is the Democrats’ surest path to defeat. Basically, anybody reasonably personable with a pulse can defeat Trump right now, but as we get closer to the election, professor after analyst after politician after folks here at The Root have said the same thing: The key to victory, in both the White House and the…
Yeah! All that thinking makes my brain tired!
Thank you for this write up. Its perfect and ill just link to it when i see some racist asshole (is there any other kind?) on Nextdoor cite this WSJ post.
Go down to The Villages, FL where my dad lives and you’ll read some real stupid opinion pieces in their local print media, levels of rampant inane bitchery, racism, and disconnect from the outside world as to dazzle your senses.
like I get the criticism of the style of coverage by SI (foggy lenses, tinkling piano music, and softball questions are some cheap sappy bullshit when doing profiles), but there’s something kind of tasteless about criticizing that coverage when it’s about a man dying of organ failure
shut the fuck up, tomato
If the NHL banned cocaine it would have ZERO players.
Nah, this wasn’t a science experiment. This was a guy/contractor making money off of a government-funded publicity stunt. Nothing useful was learned that wasn’t already known or couldn’t have been determined for a LOT less money.
Resin durability was absolutely known. This was an incredibly stupid idea right from jump. This was stupidity on par with “building the whole airplane out of the blackbox”.
It would be pretty tough to replicate real world wear on those materials in a laboratory setting, so it seems like it was a pretty good learning experience. Now, I’m not sure getting a project of that cost green-lit by overselling it’s output and durability is ideal, but I’m sure there were plenty of engineers trying…
Science is hard, and you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.
Does anyone listen to The Dollop podcast? They had a really interesting episode recently about the origins of Monopoly and how it was actually created by a socialist to play off of the inherent dangers of capitalism.
HE HATE TEAMS
It drives me nuts that the 76ers are held as definitive proof that the process works. They are one more Joel Embiid knee injury away from it being an unmitigated disaster. They had all these high draft picks that have either underachieved (for christ sakes, Simmons can’t shoot a jumper) or they’ve whiffed entirely on…
So what? Are you saying we should wait until the Browns actually have a winning season, or at least play a single down that matters following yet another losing season, before anointing them a model franchise? Are you suggesting maybe we should acknowledge that the “Process” they supposedly “brought” to the NFL is…
Bill, I know you write your MLS analysis mostly to trigger the people who actually follow the league, but there is a genuinely interesting story documenting the rise of Mexicans playing in MLS. You have completely managed to miss the point and instead we are left with this article where you outright state you don’t…
If you really miss Pros vs. Joes since it went off the air, check out Carlos Vela do his thing in the MLS.
