Pretty much the only sportspeople I can think of with consistently solid takes are the Richard Sherman/Gregg Popovich/Steve Kerr types. You know... people who actually were good at things other than catching, throwing, and shooting balls.

Jason Whitlock has a history of calling out other black people on white television shows for not conforming to stereotypical notions of being black.
