@Joey Carrillo: I find I'll start something, get something working(ish), then start modifying it (not saving it separately) and find that a long way down the road I can't get back to my working point....in comes version control, I use it religiously now whenver I'm developing stuff for my PIC microcontroller stuff, I

@tuxus: Reminds me of one of my professors preaching about preventing knowledge belemia, basically, don't just toss it out once you're past needing it, keep it in there somewhere (digesting of course....LOL), and you'll find you can use it again, One way to prevent it is by continually using it, whenever/wherever you

I'm not sure how I feel about the improvement in the second part....only that suppose the caller left information in the first voicemail that is important to even understand the most recent voicemail. so now you go back through all the voicemails in reverse order and hope you remember the first one when you get back

@Randki: Yea they can't seem to translate my mom at all, and I don't think she has much of an accent but my wife thinks she does, I'm from ND originally

could you upload an OS, and then somehow network boot? no need for even the pen drive.

This is sweet, I was having problems getting .s files (for assembly for Power PC 405) to upload so converting to .txt, then converting back would occasionally induce artifacts that would mess up the assembler, so this is great news!

Somehow this just seems wrong....

Yea the conveyor belt organization works when the cashier bags them in the order they're given, but frequently they'll reach across all the items in the front for one in the back where I shop....kinda goofy.

To me as long as it's not "offensive" or off the wall (like killallmycoworkers@yippie.com) I think it's not a big deal to me!

@Kevin Kuzia: both, I got stuff from sierra snowboards for really great prices last spring. we went last tuesday and it was a blast

@Logical Extremes: I agree, that's how I'd do it, just a simple file sharing...although I have a pc with ubuntu server edition running as my file server...

Version Control everything I do and when I get a "working" version check it in, that way I don't lose changes on accident....biggest help in the world I've come to realize!

@Kevin Kuzia: Let me know how you do, I've been attempting the same!!

@fotd_spectacular: my wife got me a second good eats dvd set for christmas and I just watched the egg episode last night....hilarious.

@ryeliSEAN: please tell me that by filing them you didn't mean just emailing to yourself...I gotta wonder if anyone did that...LOL

@dieriding: I was assuming he spelled something wrong, but can't seem to think what would be spelled chef when spelled incorrectly...although I do see your point being a skydiver I must say this is risky.

@Buster Friendly: and @jeffk: So how would this impact us in any way? How would we (users) point to that DNS to somehow make things faster then our ISP?

Sooo....is this anything like dynamic dns? (in theory) basically you list your server and it knows how to find you and do you already have to have your own domain name?

I guess the page change doesn't mean anything to me because i have a habit of clicking inside the box I'm typing in, essentially nullifying the "trick". My only complaint is sometimes it messes with me I get focused on the text field and bam something changes on the page....I don't know how I like that..... but one
