You asked for it: How about to have a fucking career? This is the career she’s worked for her whole life, and it’s not like there are a ton of places to be a College Football Commentator. She’s not a reality show contestant trying to leverage 20 minutes of fame, she’s a fucking professional broadcaster.

“No one knew what to think”... because it’s fucking impossible to believe a woman’s narrative of her own victimization? Nice.

Dude, that’s a you problem, not a woman problem.

Really? So if a woman you worked with told you this had happened to her, you’d just shrug and say, “Hey, who can really know? I mean, you’re my colleague, I’ve known you for years, but you’re a woman, so why would I have any faith in you?”

Kim Kardashian had a sex tape. She willingly consented to being videotaped having sex. Erin Andrews had a crazed stalker tape her undressing without her knowledge. Do you really not see the difference?

Fuck that. As someone who has been stalked, I know it’s an incredibly embarrassing and traumatizing situation. Forcing her to discuss it publicly before she was ready to do so was downright cruel.

Whoever at ESPN was responsible for requiring her to do the interview should be fired. Preferably out of a cannon. Into a volcano.

Don’t try to put a positive spin on your dickbaggery with that “wise cynic” bullshit that sooooooooo many assholes hide behind.

You sound like you're fun at parties...

How do you know if Andrews even wanted her to do that? All Andrews wanted to do was go back to work. Calling her employer out on the Oprah Winfrey show would’ve made that a lot harder.

I have only commented on one other article on any website in my life. As a female who teaches Criminology on the college level it astounds me that not only the hotel would put a public figure at physical risk, but then her employer would put her at psychological risk in regards to this stalker. I have no doubt this

And it’s so ridiculous. Even if you buy into all the arguments that women can’t play sports (ignoring stuff like the WNBA and the soccer WNT), people honestly think women can’t even discuss them? I mean seriously, what the fuck?

I’m a female. I like sports. But it seems like everyday I hear a story about how trivialized women are in sports, in sports “relationships", and now, even broadcasting. dammit.

Damn. Forced her to do the interview because they didn’t believe her?

We must not talk about this issue with the same people. Almost every time I bring up sexual assault, a man tries to dismiss my concerns by mentioning that men are raped, too. And they never care about male victims, of course. It’s just a go-to rebuttal that attempts to shut women up.

I love the Weeknd more than ever now. I will bone to more of his songs. :)

Powerful to be sure. AND ALSO:

Cause of death: second hand embarrassment.

As much as it’s even possible for a person to die of vicarious embarrassment, I just did.
