It depends on whose feelings they are - there isn’t a lot I wouldn’t do to avoid hurting my grandma’s feelings.

Exactly - it’s like people think that the addiction makes artists somehow more “authentic.”

I think it’s a really fine line between “blaming the victims” and calling them unreliable witnesses and their stories questionable... I feel like as a defender you’d have to stick to the latter.
