I dislike being forced into these. I fired the PS3 up and everything is gone (friends, messages,...). I do a system update and then BAM! This crap defaults to clock with banner moving, and crap icons? WTF Sony??? Can't be trendy and have to follow M$ with Ads next? (shhhhhh!)

@djej: That said, there is nothing different between the Regular Version and the EDU version except the splash screen and that you can't upgrade from the EDU version to regular/premium ones (eg Adobe Products).

Um, there has always been a formula to figure size of screen based on distance sitting from the set.
