We - my wife, two kids, and myself - did both parks between Christmas and New Years a few years ago. The best single attraction was Harry Potter World, but Disney had the best overall experience. Disney is very expensive, but they really make every part of the parks a quality experience.

I've had more success working out at home. As long as you are not doing any exercise like a bench press or squat that requires a spotter for safety reasons, you'll do fine. Also, your diet is more important than exercise for maintaining a healthy weight, so I'd start there.
