Wouldn't go so far as to call it "original" but it is pretty good and unique in its own right.

Hm. A few of these seem a tad nitpicky (daddy issues again? Is this the same writer always complaining about them? I'm starting to think some io9 writers have "daddy issues")
It's always entertaining reading rants from people ignorant on a subject(s) and then realizing they have no idea what they're talking about. I remember being 10 years old and helping my dad set up a surround sound system and realizing "oh color coded wires are a thing...and they're useful!" I'd used to wonder why they…
Ever since that episode of the Simpsons where Apu loses the Kwik E Mart I've always been diligent whenever I'm at the store about to get in line. How much do people have in their carts, how fast does the cashier seem to be scanning, age of the people in line etc. The inevitable trip ups are the price checks/disputes…
I actually thought the apes were shown to be definitively at fault for starting the conflict which made everything that much more interesting. We first see them living their lives trying to be peaceful and the humans are shown to be protecting themselves and their interests.
I think it would be perfectly reasonable if they eventually got to that point in the series. They don't need to rush it though and from this interview it's clear they've no intention of doing that. I want to see the world building and the evolution of their culture so by the time we get to the point where humans turn…
Ceaser didn't tell Koba to go scouting. Koba did that on his own. After their disagreement Ceaser was told Koba had gone hunting. In actuality Koba had gone to the settlement to get proof the humans couldn't be trusted. He found the armory, went back and questioned Ceaser, got his ass whooped and then went to kill the…
Those are pretty awesome. Ever since the idea/realization started gaining traction that many dinosaurs likely had some kind of feathers I had always pictured them being something like this. Not that absurd baby chic fluffiness above.
There's certainly evidence that their infants did, but not really anything about the adults keeping them.
Watching the monsters move in the game makes it obvious that they've got some pretty intelligent folks putting real thought into these things behind the scenes. They've done a great job of bringing a "realness" to the creatures and it's great. One of the things I really love about the series.
The main reason is install base and market presence. The 3DS is simply a juggernaut so it was only natural to see the game on that console. It wouldn't make sense to release one on PS3/360 at this point because the 4 and One are in the spotlight now. Launching on PS4 and XBone wouldn't be ideal either because of their…
It's still pretty decent yea. I recently started playing again myself along with 7 or 8 friends (3 had just bought their Wii Us). I've already added on another 300 hours in the last 4 weeks....It's a great game and with 4 coming in early 2015 it's a great time to get back into things.
Not really stupid to think Ness will get the axe. They're cutting characters which is a fact. Nothing about Ness is particularly relevant nowadays. His only appearances lately have been the Smash games. If there is going to be a Mother representative at all (and I don't think we need one honestly) it will have to be…
Ganondorf = clone. Luigi = clone. Roy was a clone. Falco, Wolf, Ken, Akuma, Yang, Pyrrha, Siegfried. I could go on forever but the point is "clones" exist in fighting games. However the only people who get feel concerned about that are people who have no idea how fighting games work on the most obvious technical level…
I honestly don't think we'll see both Ness AND Lucas returning. Likely at least one of them though.
This will only surprise people unfamiliar with the FGC. Ask any pro player and they'll all say "use what you're comfortable with". Nothing about an arcade stick will make you a better player or any other controller for that matter.
I really enjoyed Tera in my initial run through and later revisit. However I've been waiting for them to add actual new content and raise the level cap. They've just been giving everyone an example of what "power creep" is by releasing new gear tiers and not much else.
Well it's always the easier path getting used the most. Hormonally tricking the female body is easier and safer. Male ejaculation is less about hormones and more mechanical (for lack of a better word). I would imagine theoretically something could be done to alter sperm production but that would likely take a lot of…
How many deities must one sacrifice to in order to ensure these movies bomb spectacularly?
