I tells ya, the Chrome OS tablet had better be a slick piece of work.

What....no GPS? :(

@Chris Tomalty: If he were brought up in the wrong atmosphere then it would be much harder for him to do what he is doing at that age even with his determination. It would of happened later in life.

@Chris Tomalty: He's not necessarily a genius. He was just bought up in the right atmosphere that promoted free thinking. And it helps that he isn't lazy.

@guardianali: Competition is good which is why I hope something at least almost kills the iPad....as well as the iPhone.

The iPad is going to be taken down by either the Palmpad, a super Android tablet designed specifically for Gingerbread, or something else we're not considering yet. Perhaps it will be a chrome os tablet.

I thought Gingerbread was supposed to stop all the skinning?

The "i" prefix is getting annoying now. And no 1080p? Really?

@meg9: What headphones? The cheap white buds that come with the iPod touch package? Those have mics now?

What have you got to say now fanboys? I totally agree with Rothman that indeed Apple stayed with AT&T exclusively FOR TOO LONG! And during that time they allowed Android to grow.

Well, if it's going to have dual cameras for facetime then it is correct to assume that the new iPod touch will have a mic too? I mean like....it has to now right?

@SeraphX2: Regardless to whatever diddly doo you said, I....as well as the FCC chairman, see right through the crap Verizon and Google is trying to pull.

Again, it sucks to be a gen 1 iPad owner. All the smart people are waiting till version 2 or even 3.

The FCC needs to lay the smackdown on Google and Verizon for trying to pull that two-tiered internet crap for wireless!

@dan: So they can't make the battery lighter?

@Dexomega: No, I think we'll see something with this tech from Apple in less than 5 years. Perhaps we'll see something by late next year.

Hopefully they can use this to make a MUCH lighter iPad.

@Lupus_Yonderboy: Exactly! Why aren't the rest of you commenting on this?

I don't want to have to go to a carrier to get a tablet dang nabbit! I want to go to best buy...buy an android tablet....fool around with it on wi-fi....then get a carrier connection...without contract...ONLY IF I WANT TO!!!

What is so "skynet" about this bike? It looks like a standard bike to me. Can we actually move away from the gas tank metaphor already?
