But we’re still claiming the C8 won’t get the Blackwing.

This makes me NOT want an Audi. Like, really bad.
That said, I had a 1996 A4 Quattro with a 5 speed, and I absolutely loved it.
Because you have to essentially baby these cars to keep them in good health I never touched it. You have to properly warm, drive, and cool down the cars in a strategic manner to keep them running long term. When I was looking for a project a few years ago I was considering it. I had a shitty boss that saw I was…
Dude! He said
Name one car that looks pretty next to an FD.
The door is at the top right of your screen.....looks like an X
We can both sit and stare enviously across the Atlantic :-)
Or you could always build your own German wagon for cheap. I got this beaut for $350, and am about to pick up another one for pretty cheap as well. Throw a turbo kit at an old BMW and it’ll be pretty quick as well, whilst being lighter and much more analog in every way. No silly screens or stability control— it’s just…
Even newer Mercedes age well when they are shown even a little love. I just changed the EGR valve on a friends 2012 ML350 diesel. The new part was $250, and it took about an hour to replace. Probably could have deep cleaned the old valve and reused it. Dealer quoted $1200 for the job.
You simply import it, fix the lights (amber dedicated turn signals front and back, rear fog light, proper light pattern on the headlights), make sure the speedometer is in metric and a few other things and you’re good to go. You will have to pay taxes, which will be minimal in some countries (UK, Germany) and truly…
Thats alright, though. Since we don’t live in the land of the “free”, we have the freedom to import one for ourselves whenever we wish to do so.
What is this IVA scheme that you speak of? That’s something I hadn’t thought about is how hard the reverse is compared to the US...i.e importing not for sale in EU cars from the USA--I have to imagine the laws are somewhat less draconian than ours over here?
No big deal. In Europe, it’s quite easy to individually import a new car from USA. Or rather “individually”, as there are companies that do it for you. Or even just import the cars for sale and have them in their showrooms, ready to go.
Oh my. I honestly don’t know how we’ll make it without the *scrolls back up* 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
I was driving along a rural highway in my Elise one time; 2 travel lanes, 55 mph limit, at-grade intersections, occasional right turn lanes. A truck in front of me pulled into a right turn lane, and I began to pass him in the travel lane at 50 mph or thereabouts. As I got to the intersection, another car pulled out…
Actually, I’m gonna go ahead and blame audiences for this. I could see how it would potentially hurt somebody’s career in the future.
Reminder - Mark Webber was puking in his helmet / over team radio while running P2 in the 2007 Japanese GP (in much, much worse weather conditions) before being crashed out by Sebastian Vettel. And he didn’t whine a single time about being sick that weekend.
You will never hear me argue about Lewis’s incredible talent, ability, and success as he is truly one of the sports greatest.
