It still doesn’t unscrew the bullshittery that is a slightly massaged Z4 being pitched as the new Supra.

My walk to work takes me past a German car repair shop, and a Previa was parked outside of it last winter. “For Sale. 290K, $1,950.” Meh, I thought, that’s a lot of miles. One day the shop owner/seller added “New motor” to the placard. This piqued my interest. Popped into the shop, asked a few questions, and he…
FRESNO, CA — I think I’ve finally found a religion I can convert to. I’m thinking of turning Sikh. And we’ll just slide right by all the puns popping into your little heads, if you don’t mind. The Sikhs are just the coolest warrior tribe around. Take their scripture.
I would point you to this video from a SR-71 pilot and ask you to rethink that comment
It looks better on the Astra GTC three door.
Im more shocked by the death of the Adam than anything else. Da fuq?
What GM did with the TourX is borderline criminal. Take a GORGEOUS wagon body from Opel and bring it here, give it a turbo, AWD and... an ANCIENT 6-speed auto that shifts like it hates its life, questionable interior materials and NOT offer it in Canada, because “reasons”.
Do you know much about old BMW’s? This is from a time before all of the unreliable complex electricals of the late 90's and 00's. This is a simple, unintelligent vehicle. It will run for a long time without any work that requires a dealership computer
BMW has made many great engines, and the M30 sits right at the top of the heap. This final iteration in 208hp guise is the best. And 230,000 miles is just broken in, assuming it has had some maintenance done along the way.

I think it looks too high
Right you are! Hard to keep track of the models we never saw in the states.

What could they use in America to re-label them? My guess ‘saloon shooting brake’ would be mistaken for a recreational gunfight in a bar.

Stuff like this is a referendum on modern cars. People don’t care about the new Supra now and you can’t even buy it yet. It will be a car trivia question in 25 years. Cars today are generally incredibly competent, but have no stories or significance. Even something like the GT3 or Ferrari V8 berlinetta seem like…
At least in Finland and Sweden BMW M20, M30, to some extent S50 and S54 and specially M50 are VERY common engines for tuning. In the States it is mostly about SBC and LS, In JDM scene it’s about Toyota & Nissan straight sixes, in Europe it seems to be about BMW straight sixes. There are many building MB and Audi…
Sweden. Jalopier than thou.
Another interesting piece of history is that after the U.S.S. Indianapolis was lost, Captain Charles McVay III, the ship’s commanding officer, was court martialed and convicted of “hazarding” his ship by failing to zigzag.
