While I will agree that the plot is too ridiculous to judge anything about the two characters, Daphne DID have an out. When the detective returned from talking to the DA, she gave the girls an opportunity to recant their story. Daphne immediately began to spin an elaborate lie with specific details and took that

Regina is definitely a character who has been shown to have cut off much of her emotions. I still cannot get over the distance she kept between herself and Bay in the pilot episode. (I know she was harboring a secret, but I am still amazed at how she could cut off her own daughter that way.)

It is interesting to ponder. Giving up so easily, now, does cheapen their former efforts. Back then, Daphne had made it sound as though she was standing on principle. I never believed her, though.

I agree with every word. It's as if you stole my thoughts at each of these points in the episode. Well, at least we see the absurdity. Ha-ha!

Seriously.

If my parents were as disappointed and upset as Daphne's parents, I would not go to the police station without a lawyer.

Bay taking the fall for Daphne is the only way I could be okay with everyone staying in KC.

Do the suits really do that? That is sad.

The writers have an opportunity to take these characters that we love (or, well, that we used to love) and completely re-invent the show. It could be amazing.

Well, it is TV, so anything is possible. But Bay is 18 and she walked away with the officer to sign a statement saying she is guilty. That's perjury, if the truth comes out. And it is vandalism, if it doesn't. Both are felonies.

I suspected this might be the twist, too.

I agree with everything you wrote, especially the last paragraph. Bay's heart was in the right place. Anger would be too much.

I wrote this comment after last week's episode, but I was afraid to post it.

Me, too!

It feels like you are arguing with me, and I am not sure why.

It would be good for Daphne to see the ramifications of her actions. I agree!

I agree with every word you wrote, other than, Disaster Daphne works for me. I have enjoyed and totally "get" her arc from beginning to end.

I liked Jake T. Austin on Wizards of Waverly Place. He played the role of a young, naive underachiever (aka the family airhead) pretty well.

I don't watch The Fosters. Does anyone have time to explain why Brandon and Callie are unpopular on this site? From reading previous comments here, it seemed as though people feel Callie needs Brandon to be her brother more than she needs him to be her boyfriend.

It seemed like Bay had contacted Natalie, Hilary, and Mary Beth with her plan, but left Emmett in the dark until he arrived at the Kennish estate in his tux.
