So anyone who wants to travel 200-300 miles in a single day is full of shit huh? Not buying it. 

But travel often involves bringing a lot of stuff. What’s the range of a model X with 800lbs of cargo and a 4000lb boat in tow going over a mountain pass? I suspect not 200 miles.

Like another poster said, even if topping off at night is good enough for 90% or more of your driving needs, the other 10% of the time you’re going to need to scramble to find another car. And the 10% of the time it’s not good enough could be an emergency situation.
