Yeah, it's fun. There's just not much of a story.

I was so surprised when I discovered that Tom Sawyer Abroad and Tom Sawyer Detective existed. I had just read Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, and I couldn't believe there were two more classics starring the same characters that no one ever talked about. Then I read them, and while they had their moments, I could…
It bothered me more that Doug came home before FBI guy could get out of his shackles, so they apparently cut off one of his thumbs for nothing.
I mentioned this here very recently, but it's even more relevant here: I don't know if HBO still sponsors outdoor summer movies in NYC's Bryant
Park, but the last time I went, the movie was preceded by this old
intro. And people went nuts for it — hundreds of people leapt to their
feet, cheering and dancing. I'd say…
Apostrophe?
That's not even the real Earl Sinclair! It's just the Disney World walk-around costume version. Man, everything about Trump is fake.
He seems like one of those people who would call any Spanish-speaking person, regardless of country of origin, "Spanish." Puerto Ricans? They're Spanish people. Colombians? They're Spanish people. And so on.
You have to sit in the Pie Pod!
He spent three issues arguing against a registration act!
Has anyone mentioned that Saturday Night Live did a sketch with almost the same premise? The whole thing was filmed from Reagan's point of view (Randy Quaid, I think) as his advisers prepped him for the day's scenes in his big president movie.
One of my favorites was Mann-ster, a series about a mall cop who turns into a crime-fighting hamster. It was in development… for the Zune Network. http://henson-alternative.w…
I actually saw the 90s milk commercial with "Let's all go to the kitchen…" before I ever saw the original movie theater thing. And I went, "OH, I get it now."

In an amazing coincidence, Billy Crystal did his jazz character on Muppets Tonight in 1996! Billy Joel didn't drop by, though.
Bear penises, you say? I must have missed that episode.
THE MUPPETS is a dark and gritty reboot of MUPPETS TONIGHT, which was a dark and gritty reboot of THE JIM HENSON HOUR, which was a dark and gritty reboot of THE MUPPET SHOW, which was a dark and gritty reboot of vaudeville.
I hope tomorrow is Ernest P. Worrell singing "I Sure Am Glad It's Raining" from Ernest Goes to Camp.
Yeah, which is also brilliant. I seem to recall it didn't translate 100% to being collected in a trade paperback, though.
Oh yeah, that was great. It reminded me of that time-jumping issue of Fantastic Four by Walt Simonson… There's a moment in both issues where you realize what's happening and you're amazed.
Yeah, most Muppet performers have a few "types" of voices they come back to. Like how Jerry Nelson's Robin, Gobo, Emmet Otter, and various little boy Muppets from Sesame Street all sound similar.
