My parents let me watch it on a premium cable channel, despite my mom's reservations. Afterward, she suggested to my dad that he should explain to me this word "shit" which I had never heard before, so I would know it was inappropriate. So he did, upon which I said, "Oh, I thought they were saying 'ship' because

Yeah, I'll defend High Anxiety. It's just fun. Everyone's seen a million parodies of the Psycho shower scene now, but it must have been fresher then.

If you haven't done so already, allow me to encourage you to obtain the Uncle Deadly toy.

Yeah, that sounds promising enough.

I don't understand.

Huh. Well, at least it's different than "another rabbit but this one is a girl and she's super-hot."

Was Lola actually good on The Looney Tunes Show? I never saw it, but as much as I appreciate the inclusion of a female character, she was such a nothing character in Space Jam and… whatever else she's been in.

I feel like Fozzie is one of the best characters to carry a storyline, as he often did on The Muppet Show. He has the comedian thing, the desperate need to be liked, and he's a little bit dim. It seems like the writers have gotten the hang of writing for him pretty quickly.

Chip, like Digit (my avatar!), also originated on The Jim Henson Hour. He was one of three characters who hated television and the Muppets, and interrupted the broadcast with their own show: http://muppet.wikia.com/wik…

Yeah, they've been removing the arm rods for a while now. I actually kind of miss them. As a kid, I was always aware that Kermit had little sticks connected to his hands, but it never bothered me.

Pedantic Muppet geek correction incoming: Kermit was the host of the Muppet Show. The celebrities in each episode were *guest stars.*

It's a new thing the FBI is doing now. Before you can get into the academy, you have to pass a hotness test.

They're also both riffs on the Beach Boys, especially "Surfin' USA."

Has anyone mentioned that these are Jim Henson Company puppets? (Does anyone care?)

Incredibleamadeuscho, is that you?

Rowlf is performed by Bill Barretta now, the guy who plays Pepe, Bobo, and the Swedish Chef. It did take them a while to start using him again, but they're not really avoiding him. He was always more of a supporting character on The Muppet Show, but I bet we'll see him soon.

A little sister who had no idea what "Let's Do It For Our Country" was about.

Because if you said "the green trains," you would sound like somebody's mom visiting from out of town.

That's an excellent point.

There's definitely something off about Denise's eyes. I'm hoping they'll move them a little closer together in future episodes.
