I seem to recall that when the actors were promoting the movie on talk shows, they specifically said, "Yeah, I'm in this movie called The Lost World: JURASSIC PARK," and I figured they had probably been instructed to say the full title.

"aunt petunia's favorite nephew, the ever-lovin' blue-eyed thing merchandise"

I watched Frozen on Netflix on a whim years ago, before the Disney movie, and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It was so intense, I haven't been skiing since! (Okay, I hadn't been skiing before either, but still.)

I was living in the southern part of Texas at the time, and she was popular while she was alive, but as tends to happen, her fame skyrocketed when she was killed.

I recently watched The Truman Show for the first time in many years, and there's Peter Krause playing Jim Carrey's boss! So… that's another thing he did.

One of the core performers, or a right-hander/background puppeteer?

To be fair, there were almost no original songs performed on The Muppet Show.

Her name was Annie Sue, but no one remembers her.

That's a remarkably accurate written recreation.

I've never heard anyone use "cromulent" without it being clear that it was definitely a joke and a reference to The Simpsons, but I've started seeing people use "embiggen" un-self-consciously. Mostly only on the internet, though, so maybe it's still a ways off from being a real word.

I just looked up a photo of Robert Siegel for the first time, and he does have a light, gray, why-do-you-even-bother beard. Which still isn't how I always pictured him… I was envisioning an old-fashioned, pointy Van Dyke.

I've heard a few other people say the same thing. He may have the most bearded-sounding voice in public radio.

I still can't believe Robert Krulwich doesn't have a beard.

Probably not. He used to say "Production oversight by our boss, Mr. Torey Malatia," but when Malatia left WBEZ he switched to "Special thanks as always to our founder, Mr. Torey Malatia." That will still be an accurate description of Malatia's role.

Gale and Zemeckis have addressed it in Q&As before, and they pretty much just say, "Doc probably hired Marty to do some odd jobs around his house" which doesn't sound like a particularly compelling comic book.

I hate it so much I can't even tell you. How about just using the word "scandal?" What's wrong with that?

Teapot Dome-nuts!

I was psyched when Subway introduced avocado, but… what IS that stuff?!

I would have included Sensurround. That's one of my favorites, and I couldn't stop listening to it when I got the S-E-X-X-Y EP it's on.

And they brought Robin Goldwasser (John Flansburgh's wife) onstage to sing it!
