"Can I trade in the children for more cash?"

I'm pretty sure in Tina Fey's book she credits Pell with the Kotex Classic SNL sketch, which is all I needed to know to LOVE her.

I remember watching that movie with my grandmother (who is a certified Sweet Old Lady for the most part) and her being really concerned that Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell might not end up together at the end. Which just kills me for like five different reasons.

Hey, if I know one thing about society, it's that people who take advantage of the vulnerable always get what's coming to them.

Overboard is super messed up.

I like that one mostly because the end is so ridiculous it kind of divorces it from social satire. There's some interesting stuff in the middle about not being a jiffy pants, but then it's like "don't judge others because they may have manufactured an entire persona in order to avoid an evil ex and you might

Which one is the Conan janitor episode?

Bless this season for having so much Josh Charles.

I think that's really evidence that it wasn't mocking feminism, because there's no such thing as 7th wave feminism. It was, in my opinion, gently ribbing college-age types who want to live certain values but also want a lifestyle that they worry isn't compatible with those values.

I thought it was a pretty similar take, myself, although this one of course fell short of that song (which gets stuck in my head on a regular basis).

Yeah, I disagree a lot with this aspect of the review. The episode isn't making fun of consent. It's making fun of people who think the appearance of the thing is the same as the thing. It's over the top, because it's Kimmy. But this guy doesn't care about Kimmy or her actual consent, he just cares about the letter

In middle school some friends of mine got really into learning ASL. Then, at a school event, she knew when a couple of deaf girls were saying really catty things about another friend and got to call them out on it. I'm sure it was very satisfying.

I thought they might think it was camp or something. In theory they had frantic parents somewhere, but I don't think narrative realism has ever been a goal of UKS, and it shouldn't be.

That's a good point. Damn, I loved this episode so much.

I think Bell will definitely be with one of them, if only to set up a triangle with Clarke (I'd love not to think that, but this is the CW. Triangles are contractual.)

I thought for sure someone would die! Smart money on Emori. So pleased and surprised they zigged instead of zagged on that.

I am so here for this reboot. If I never hear the word 'Grounder' again it'll be too soon.

This, and, also, radiation would have to have had a more striking effect on the human race than the show has let on if her most recent sexual partner knocked her up.

God, I hope not. I'm so over stories about the Grounder factions and their violent mysticism. After 5+ years in that bunker I hope they really are one clan and we can focus on this new threat.

In theory the bunker people will also survive. But Echo away from her Ice Nation alliances seems more useful to me than dangerous. She's strong and tough.
