I have similar nostalgia for Rush on the 64, so much so I got a Mad Katz wheel and pedals. I think I was 12 or 13 at the time, so it was the closest I got to driving at the time outside of sketchy neighborhood kid go carts, first person camera view where you could see the hood getting dented up, sitting as close to

I sunk hundreds of hours into the Rush games on N64. I played it like most played adventure games. The physics felt way ahead of their time, especially Rush 2. Plus finding all of the keys in every track caused me and my friend to try to perform the craziest jumps off everything.

It kinda looks cheesy, but it also looks very Robert Rodriguez stylized. The only good Hollywood anime adaptation, in my opinion, is Speed Racer, so if this is taking a page from that and making everything overly stylized, then that could be cool.

Hrrrrrm, I don’t know. It kind of looks like some fan-made adaptation of the original intro or like a hip-hop video from the 90s or something. Based on this alone, watching the live action adaptation may be a bit too cringe for me.

Canvas Curse is one of my fave DS games. I haven't played Star Allies but it looks at least as great as Superstar.

So uh, should we tell him?

This is a gratuitously bad take.

I do not understand how someone could get physical pain playing an N64 controller. Like, maybe if their hands were too big and rubbed up against the side prongs, but otherwise I dunno. Did you try and grab the analog stick while gripping the left prong? If so, why? There’s no trigger button on the left prong, only the

It’s a start.

Did you hear about the time Nintendo branched out into hardcore illicit substances for promotional purposes?

I guess they were trying to prepare everyone for the disappointing ending.

I really enjoyed the regular Donkey Konga games too. They got maligned by comparison to the altogether cooler Guitar Hero, but they were much more accessible to my non-musician mates. Easier to pick up and play, and the music selection didn’t take itself too seriously. Plenty of post-pub nights tub-thumping those

I loved that game when it dropped, and kinda regret selling it (I was tired of keeping/storing the whole bongo set for a game I hadn’t touched in years). One of the most underrated GC titles.

We were probably testing there around the same time.  I tested Mario DDR on the other side of Lot check.  OMG so smelly, and they issued us weird like, little booties to wear.

I swear Spartan bots got easier in 1-on-1 to compensate for how much smarter they made them in terms of moving around the map (they flank more aggressively, travel in packs more often, etc). I actually had my two best games of the entire beta once they turned on the Spartan bots last night.

How do you switch difficulties? We’ve been absolutely destroying ODST level bots, but found no way to change options

Someone posted a video on the subreddit where he was trying to do the combat evolved medal and he failed both times and a bot came out of no where and grapple shot it and killed him with it.

Really? I was literally in the menu, fixing settings half the game yesterday and still got enough kills to win from a deficit without really putting effort into it. I’ve died an average of twice a match at most. Do the bots scale with you the more you win? I will agree with you on their strategy, they definitely have

Yeah it had to be more than 10. I won one of the gold gba advances, and I seem to remember multiple people winning them in the short time span I was in that area.
