“Will she plump when you cook her?”

The Catholic Church has spent massive amounts of money towards legislation that:

It is hateful. Do you hate the Westboro Baptist Church? I do. Do you hate the KKK? I do. They’re also both Christian groups with evil ideas, and yet they don’t have a major impact on legislation. The RCC does. The RCC is responsible for more deaths than the KKK ever was.

Every single dirty Catholic bitch should be forced by law to only use Catholic hospitals. Oh, there isn’t one close? Then start driving. Didn’t care about the non-Catholic women who were denied the ability to terminate ectopic pregnancies because the closest hospital was Catholic, did you? Just kept shoving money into

“They know their religion is evil, they know it’s built on the corpses of countless women “

No. What he means is that young men have futures, and women don’t. If this guy goes to prison, he might never get to finish college. People care about that. Nobody cares about the thousands of women who drop out of school every year because of rape/assault/harassment/partner abuse. You will never read an article about

Yes, yes, yes. This woman is my newfound, anonymous idol - incredibly strong yet proudly vulnerable, epically eloquent, and most importantly, ANGRY. What’s more, the fact that she was able to channel her anger, stepping back from the experience itself, and speak to the injustices that pertain to thousands of other

give your wife my condolences, please.

No. I’m responding to your “there must be some state board” comment, more than anything else.

There should be, if there’s not already, some formal way for either side in a court case to request a review of a judge’s actions, if they’re found to be prejudicial/not in keeping with the spirit of the law/etc. It doesn’t sound as if the judge was given any particularly good reason to think the rapist was remorseful

And not even blame HER specifically, but the fucking culture? Like, hookup culture that OTHER fucking people create or perpetuate (which is totally bullshit if you ask me, but I’ll pretend it’s a thing for the sake of argument) is the reason that this particular woman had to endure this?

What else did they want? He attacked her outside, there were witnesses, he was caught in the act, the evidence was 100% irrefutable. But still, a slap on the wrist, he gets to blame those drunk slutty sluts, and the judge is worried about how tough prison would be for him.

This girl is a BEAUTIFUL writer and it’s a real fucking shame that this is the way we have to find out about her gift.

Yes, it’s an outrageous statement. He hasn’t admitted any culpability therefore it’s easy to conclude that he WOULD do it again as he doesn’t see that he did anything wrong. He is most definitely a danger to society and likely to re-offend. This judge is as bad as the rapist.

She is so courageous it's heartwrenching.

Yep. That quote from the judge -

If anything this will just embolden him, and all other rapists like him. All they have to do is take a sip of beer and they won’t go to ‘real’ prison.

The thing is, they didn’t even HAVE to listen to women. There were two men that saved her, chased him off, and acted as eyewitnesses to his crime, but his welfare is still prioritized before hers. And arguably, before the welfare of his next potential victim.

Wow. Her statement is so incredibly eloquent and spot -on. I really hope that she will find some sort of peace.

You can police every aspect of your speech, you can wear the right things, you can get all the degrees and expertise, you can write the most fucking eloquent and heartbreaking courtroom statement and still there are men who will not hear you because they just don’t listen to women.
