I’m in nearly the same boat, and all my new-mother coworkers told me to do something. Just make sure it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Maybe after men start doing an equal share of unpaid work. Women pull their weight with paid work AND still shoulder the burden of unpaid work.
Put your partner first.
Yes, nothing says “I love you” like an implicit, threatening demand for reciprocity.
As to your first question, it’s very possible for people to take responsibility for having sex and still end up pregnant. I’ve gotten pregnant twice while using birth control - the first time, I was 18 and on the pill, and neither my doctor nor my pharmacist told me that the antibiotic I was put on for an ear…
I got pregnant at 18, when neither my pharmacist nor my doctor thought to tell me that the antibiotic I was taking for an ear infection would render my birth control pills useless. I was putting myself through college, as was the father, so neither of us were in any condition to consider parenthood. But according to…
Adoption is an alternative to raising a child but it’s not really comparable to abortion. The chances of medical issues caused by pregnancy don’t decline when the pregnant woman has an adoption plan. The physical effects of pregnancy that might cause a woman to have to stop working while pregnant don’t stop when the…
There are a lot of emotional and moral and ethical arguments to be made, which I’m not really interested in making. But from a purely financial standpoint, it’s cheaper for everyone if we support abortions, birth control and proper education than it is to support unprepared mother & child for years. Not much logical…
“Folks need see this a a very viable alternative to abortion. Do you know how hard it is to adopt a child? Do you know how expensive it is to adopt?”
Feigning ignorance is a weird fucking way to go. I have too many inmates to remember all the names of the guys who have died in my custody in the last year. I remember the specific details of what they did that led them to my custody, but once they get here...who can keep track?
“I have nearly 1000 inmates in my prison, half the size of your average middle school, I can’t remember all the names that my staff tortures and kills.”
I totally relate to this! Especially the anger part. Why the hell is this person doing this to me?! When of course they are not trying to torment me.
I have an Android and it has DND.
the DND feature makes the switch from Android to iPhone well worth it.
Oh is that all.
I was in an argument with someone yesterday who said - literal quote here: “I never had anything handed to me except shelter and education.”
The kicker? He doesn’t even pay for his own phone;
Good for her! Editing is one of the least appreciated parts of movie making (in that if you’re really good at it, no one will notice the strings), it takes forever, you get in screaming matches on whether to linger half a second more or half a second less on a shot, and it’s incredibly rewarding when things come…
I think its wonderful. At my work, compensation was very hush hush and I found out that there were some extremely wonky compensation comparisons happening. I started talking openly with my colleagues and I think its been so beneficial for me and for them. Just to be informed.
Not because of who comes to the US. Nor that immigrants are responsible for crime, or that immigrants make life in the US worse - I don’t agree with that at all.
