I think the current generation has more... sprays? And they tend not to last as long. At least, thinking about teenagers/early 20s specifically. My god, the number of boys in my high school who thought Axe could cover up their body odor sins.

Not that small - I don’t work on cars, but somehow every time I’ve gotten a manicure, it peeled/chipped within the 1st two days. Love this write-up on what the gel manicure could stand up to!

That’s how the sentence read to me too - because that makes much more sense than either of them dating Kate Hudson.

If I’m being honest, my dad was still a little bumbling. He never seemed to know exactly what to do with me when I had to visit his office for whatever reason - he was responsible for that task because he had an actual office to himself, not because he was better at it.

You know, looking back, when I had a day off school that wasn’t a day off work for my parents, I usually ended up at my dad’s office. This was when I was old enough to remember, though, and therefore old enough to be told to sit quietly with my coloring book there, I’ll be over there if you need me.... But anyway,

Agree with everything, just came to comment on your PS - do you live somewhere without public transit? I live close enough to a major city that driving after drinking more than a beer or two is considered a bad idea by all but the 1% biggest a-holes. But we have the luxury to take public transit (or Uber etc) home in

My dad always says Judaism’s one of his favorite religions because overall, they don’t care whether you join them or not.

Yeah, see, that’s why I always appreciated someone putting a reference to Jesus/their Christianity in their online dating profile. If it’s important enough to you to mention it in that short about you space, then we won’t get along. And that’s OK! Why waste time on people who don’t share the most important part of

WTH is that suggestion for Pennsylvania - the American Philosophical Society? I mean, I’m sure it’s perfectly nice, but Philly is full of wonderful free museums. Independence Hall for goodness sake - right next to the Liberty Bell, also free (though I’ll admit it’s easily skippable). I love taking nerdier friends to

If you look at the actual products in the promotion, pretty much all of the “Hers” body washes are gender neutral. Seriously, a fragrance-free moisturizing body wash - with a blue cap no less - is for “her?”

Amen! You short girls have it tough, but at least you can buy a stepstool. I just have to bend/crouch.

Disagree - short women can use step stools or short steps, tall women have to bend down. With counters, I can put a cookbook under my cutting board at least, so it’s better for my height, but the sink and dishwasher will still give me back pains.

I never thought about the fact that my parents’ house is designed for tall people until my brothers 5’ tall girlfriend came to visit for a week. I overheard her quietly asking my brother to reach for an item on our lowest shelves for her... and honestly didn’t feel that guilty. Those shelves are at the perfect height

Not gonna lie, I’m really disappointed in you guys - it’s Columbus Day, so there have to be some fantastic apparel deals out there to share.

The majority of people I know who went abroad to a developing nation during college or grad school were engineers. Some of them just did a couple weeks in the summer on a special project (e.g. improving the water supply in a village, setting up solar power, whatnot), and some spent longer. It’s a huge thing to put on

Yes, it should.

I think you should really add something along the lines of “shutting down” or “lip service” to the list. I have a friend who, whenever I bring up anything constructive, even using the rules of good communication, shuts things down as soon as possible through various means.

Yeah but see, I agree with OrMaybeNot - because many times the nagger does give a deadline. “Hey, could you pick this up after work?” “Hey, you forgot - please pick it up after work tomorrow.” “Did you seriously still not pick that up?” “We need to clean the kitchen before our guests come on Saturday.” “They’re coming

Being tall, it’s harder to find pants that fit me right. Or I guess, being a woman, it’s hard to find pants that fit me right. Dresses are easier, and I can transition them easily spring, summer, fall, parts of winter depending on the dress style & where I’m going. Plus, it’s a full outfit in one almost :)

I mentioned this to someone upthread - I can’t personally recommend since I haven’t ordered from them yet, but if you want to check them out while you wait for people with more specific suggestions:
