This was super rad! Thanks, Chris! How about starting a Kickstarter to get Leary's vision of Neuromancer made into a game that runs on modern platforms?

I enjoyed my first playthrough, but after playing with strangers, I really wanted to go back and re-experience the game with a friend. It's super disappointing to me that this isn't even an option.
this looks a lot like a pixelated, sci-fi Mark of the Ninja. not that that's a bad thing! great pixel art!
of course we are ready for more concise gaming experiencing, and many developers have embraced the short-story format with absolutely remarkable results. i've been curating a list of these.
The iPhone 5s holds up to being dropped on concrete or submerged in a bowl of water, but put a couple of .50 caliber rifle rounds through it in slow motion and it nearly disintegrates. This wouldn't have happened if Steve Jobs were still alive.
(Neat detail: The dialogue text matches the font and style of the classic Lucasarts adventure games so many of us grew up with: It's coded differently for each character, and appears over their heads just so. This was predicted by Something Awful 13 years ago. We own many, many boxes of great size. Wife is owner of furniture store, we have varying boxes of size. We have great box we label "homework BOX" and Myiama does homework in box after school! It is safe place inside box, conductive for learning! No distractions, just…
lol @ "arguably my favorite game." guy must have multiple personalities.
i was ecstatic a couple of days ago when i heard princess mononoke was on its way to blu-ray, and now... i am so sad. i don't know how many times i've described miyazaki as the greatest living filmmaker. here's hoping he's not retired long.
uhh, yeah, this guy should not be selling prints of art he clearly ripped off. nice eye, PBdave. GERGO VAS: how about updating the story and contacting the 'artist' for comment?
you forgot secret of monkey island, ffvii, portal, limbo... too many games to list
Chrono Trigger for sure. My favorite game ever. Also I put ~20 hours into Final Fantasy VI, and I'm pretty sure VII is better. FFVII is my second-favorite RPG. If you ever actually play through it and decide you like it, try IX, too.
the windy man! the long mover! mighty boosh reference
I would care. I hate the Xbox controllers. I love my DualShock 3.
it's been eight years since i played through CT and i still can't let go D: haha
decided to expand upon this in a kotaku article. for a list of great games that don't take a lot of time or money to play through, go here.
i half-expected the tagline to be "all your entertainment... are belong to us"
I, too, resent the implication. I don't think Final Fantasy IX is the best Final Fantasy, but I do think it's probably the second-best. Considering how many Final Fantasies there are, it just doesn't make sense to start this or any article with "Final Fantasy IX might not be the best Final Fantasy game..."
not sure they count as *little* moments, but there were a million amazing things in chrono trigger that added to the variety — the fair (with lots of mini-games), the courtroom scene, the side quests, exploring the villages... the combat was awesome and the story was fantastic, but it wouldn't have been the game it…
