The US was almost 90% white until about 50 years ago.  Then the effects of the 1965 immigration law kicked in.  

I was born here because my ancestors built this country.  Central Americans are flocking to the US because their culture values huge families, creating a surplus population in the process.

I agree that we should punish those who knowingly use illegal labor in such large numbers.  You didn’t mention that in your original post though.

Mississippi has high rates of unemployment and poverty, especially among Black people, and yet illegal immigrants are able to get jobs there. It’s a new form of slavery, and you don’t or won’t see it.

As a percent of household income, food prices are much lower today than in prior generations.  I’d gladly pay more for food if producers paid market wages, untainted by illegal labor.
