Violence is not an appropriate response to speech you don’t like, better speech is an appropriate response to speech you don’t like. I can understand them being upset though.

If you are out in the middle of a violent riot and breaking the law, maybe you should first assume the group of guys that grab you are arresting you. If you are just walking down the street and this happens, then I understand thinking it is a kidnapping, but not when you are leading a a riot.

And when they say “unarmed”, they count a man speeding away from the police with a loaded weapon in his car as unarmed.…

I think as normal people watch their cities being burned, looted, and people being assaulted and murdered they desire a sense that law enforcement will step in and do something. The local leaders of these cities have let criminality and violence reign for months and now it seems that federal police are being sent in…
