This testimony yesterday is telling. Partly because of what it says, but maybe more because Senate Republicans didn’t try to stop it, or really challenge it, or hold a press conference to say it is false.

Hmmm...interesting

the first thing i do every morning is check the obits for america, oysy.

You’re missing that the cactus can move and keeps hugging people.

talk of previous violent incidents, expression of paranoia, overreaction to workplace changes, unstable/emotional responses, feeling of arrogance/supremacy, intense anger/hostility, violations of policy, exploiting/blaming others

To give you a sense of how much Republican lawmakers care about women, take this vignette from Senator Pat Roberts today. When asked by a TPM reporter if he supported repealing Obamacare, Roberts sarcastically responded, “I wouldn’t want to lose my mammograms.”

“save for one - the one that scares me the most, which is a warning that when backed into a corner, autocrats lash out (think Turkey, or Reichtag) to tighten their grip.”

Same here. Not to sound overly dramatic but I feel like my entire world view has been a lie almost. And maybe that’s naïveté on my part but it’s made me incredibly sad and has eroded my faith in this country and its people.

I endorse this list of Poot’s. Also would add:

Dear Tomi:

Are they counting on it?

I just explained the notion of tacking “Electric Boogaloo” onto any sequel to my 7 year old in hopes that she will pass on this element of culture to her peers.

Riechshtagg fire 2 electric boogaloo here we come!

In its later years, the giant red douchebag tree changes color to a magnificent blazing orange.

It really is the darkest timeline. It’s especially aggravating to me that they use the “poor mouth” excuse to deny necessary and proven-effective government services to the poorest of our citizens. Let’s be clear here. The United States is not poor, and the U.S. Government is not poor.

Federal Judge in HAWAII....

This is an excellent decision, because the judge decided on the basis of the Establishment Clause. Previous decisions had punted on that issue; the Ninth Circuit’s Order was decided on the basis of the due process clause.

So here’s my fear: it goes to the Supreme Court, which rules against it. Trump orders his CBP goons to enforce the order anyway. Major constitutional crisis.
