I believe the term is douchebaguette?

Well, unless you decide to boot her out at some point, then no. Thanks, Mr. Obvious!

Some of them aren't all that good

I just made dinner for my husband and now I'm reading a book about Malala Yousafzai. WHO AM I?

since when does irresponsibility = slut shaming?

If I were a man and some woman piped up with "I'm not a feminist..." I would look her in the eye and say "Excuse me. MEN are talking here" and then ignore her for the rest of the evening.

I think this is the only time I've had penis envy.

There's a lot to that statement. I've heard the same said about vaccinations - so many parents now are choosing not to vaccinate their children because they haven't ever lived in a time when children died horrible deaths of infectious diseases.

Pilatus Porter with a copilot versus a solo in an A36 Bonanza?

Yes, this argument is like saying we should put surface-to-air missile systems on all skyscrapers because of 9/11.

It did change the way you fly, from "at the whims of inspector jackassery" to "more safely".

It was the Alaska Air crash that Denzel was duplicating. The horizontal stab had gone to the maximum position to force the nose down. The pilots tried to maintain the airplane inverted, but then more damage occurred, and that was that.

This is the guy that Captain Sully buys beers for.

The sad part is, if luck had been on their side, the changes would never have been made (until a lesser pilot would've been forced into complete disaster). It always takes death to force the hand of the government into making expensive changes that the Airlines don't want to.

It occurred to me the other day that pilot is one of the few occupations (judge is another that springs to mind) that elicit an automatic sense of respect and/or gravitas among most people. Stories like this, you can see why.

"The Safety Board believes that under the circumstances the UAL flight crew performance was highly commendable and greatly exceeded reasonable expectations."

As the pilot & copilot were recorded on the plane's cockpit voice recorder:

Are you just being a cynical moron or using internet humor by means of stupidity?

Al Haynes does presentations as a tribute to those that didn't make it. The CRM used by the Captain, FO, Flight Eng, and DC10 check airman proved CRM was a useful and mandatory tool in aviation.

I specifically went through CRM training in

The crew (particularly pilots) & flight instructor deserve immense credit for avoiding what could have been an even worse disaster.

It's the Iron Vagiant!
