Guys, I don’t want to rock the boat or make unfounded accusations. But I don’t think the owners care very much about the players in this league.

It sucks because this is the absolute worst case scenario for Thomas. He’s going to come into free agency with “injury concerns” hanging over his head and he’ll be forced to sign a one year “prove it” deal or a multi-year deal worth possibly tens of millions of dollars less than he would have otherwise made.

Good intentions only go so far.  He still drove a vehicle drunk, and hurt someone in the process.  Luckily nobody was hurt badly but they could have been. If he was really that serious about his intention not to drive drunk he’d have called a taxi, or an uber, or fucking walked.  We’ve never had a time in our society…

how fast do the scooters go? How much damage do you think would be done by a 200+ pound person going 15 mph having a head on collision with the 64 year old in question?

you cant ride motorized scooters on the sidewalk, he committed 2 crimes (sidewalk and being really drunk on a scooter) before he even hit a ped
