S0 morality depends on just how CLEVER you are in hiding yourself! Cheating is OK if you use OKCupid, but it’s bullshit if you use Ashley Madison. So long as you use a gift card, cheat away!

You know what this country need more of? Moral scolds willing to judge people based on knowing nothing at all about what’s going on in their lives. Thanks for stepping up to the plate!

How many times do we need to say that adultery/=cheating? You’re lack of empathy is appalling.

Think of all the swinger couples. They might like being ANONYMOUS swinger couples. And they would be very likely to at least use Ashley Madison to find partners.

Pretty sure you don’t understand how averages work. The median NFL salary ($770k) is barely higher than the minimum third year salary ($650k), and is about $300k lower than the median third year salary. That’s not uncommon, especially in today’s non-unionized markets.

Point is, you’re arguing that because a teacher could barely survive in Visalia on $28,000 (which is what MIT found), then that teachers could live quite comfortably in Los Angeles on $70,000. Is there a word for “so-unreasonable-that-I-don’t-bother-to-defend-it-so-I’ll-just-say-MIT?” Oh yeah. There is. It’s

All that talk about money not mattering is bullshit. It matters. There’s a small subset of teachers (true believers, second incomes, writers/artists/etc., trust fund kids of one sort or another) that kind of don’t care, but for the vast majority it matters a ton. It’s impossible to (1) get rid of tenure; (2) not raise

That’s just bullshit. Tenure doesn’t make it impossible to fire assholes. It just means you have to document their assholeness. The problem is that administrators don’t want to take the time to do it.

So you’re basing your argument on the theory that a living wage in California is $28,000, and a living wage in Ohio is $20,000. Does that make sense to you? You think it only costs $8,000 more a year to live in Los Angeles than Columbus?

It is in California. Most of those teachers are in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, or San Diego. You are literally living in a low-rent area on that salary.

Very much? Jordan is statistically just about as inferior to Kareem (Kareem’s career VORP would be something like 120 if his whole career was included) and Wilt, and I’m pretty sure you’re going to keep giving Jordan sloppy blow jobs for all of forever. (You can feel free to quibble all you want about that, btw. It’s

Pretty sure “literally” doesn’t mean what you think it means. 80 points in a game, for instance, is something Jordan never did.

Not sure what “performance in last game” has to do with “cooler personal story” and “2nd best hitter of all time.”

Remember the 2008 Sacramento Kings? The immortal Reggie Theus guided them to a 35 point comeback against the Bulls.

VORP basically measures volume. Filling up the box score gives you a high score. That generally means a very good player, but it tends to discount guards that score and play defense.
