Great article.

Two Guild Wars 2 narrative designers, Jessica Price and Peter Fries, were fired after Jessica attacked a well-established community member for asking a questions, shouted sexism, and refused to back down. This led people to dig into her Twitter page and realize she frequently posts opinions that ArenaNet does not

There’s some confusion, I think, among some people I’ve seen talk about who want to suggest that a developer needs to always be accessible and willing to endure anything because the “work for gamers” or whatever. That’s certainly not true and I don’t begrudge any developer or worker who pushes back against that.

Maybe it’s my trust issues, but I have a tough time believing people who say they played Banjo recently and loved it, especially when they say that they also loved it back when it came out. It wasn’t a terrible game by any means, but in the grand scheme of things it is pretty average. More annoying than outstanding.

Heather, can I just say that I really appreciate that you include the transcript with these videos? I like having the option to read or watch the video (which is largely dictated by whether or not I’m at work or not).
