The distinction between a lens than can change a focal length and a lens with a long focal length is important. You can have a ultra-wide angle zoom lens that does not have the compression effect mentioned (precisely the opposite in fact).
No, not semantics. An ultrawide 11-16mm is a zoom lens but definitely doesn't flatten things out the way a telephoto would, with or without zoom.
Pedantics.
no a lens with a zoom and a telephoto lens are two different things. Not even remotely asemantics thing.
"Zoom lenses" - the word you're looking for is telephoto lenses.
Ummm... reading those charts, doesn't that mean that he's not really all that great? I think that a bunch of the players near the 0-10,0-5 (x and y respectively) have a better success rate. If only they would make more attempts they would be awesome; they're just too timid.
I just gave you multiple examples of issues that are most certainly NOT capacity and you still wish to make it a capacity issue? I give up, apparently where you live is different than every other place I've experienced traffic. Good for you, the rest of us will take the benefits.
Sure and in the normal stop and go traffic i see every single day there's FAR more than a 3 second gap as people fail to begin moving from a dead stop until the car in front of them has moved a good bit. You don't seem to understand that all cars could begin to move at once and maintain the same distance continuously.…
I love driving too, but it's all the other clowns who don't signal, don't turn into their own lane, don't accelerate on the freeway entrance ramp, don't know the left lane is for passing, don't know that traffic on the main thoroughfare has right of way or that a vehicle who is turning onto or crossing a main…
Try this in rush hour - watch when a light 10 cars ahead of you turns green and begin counting until your car moves. ALL of those seconds would be removed with a computer controlled set of cars because ALL cars could begin moving as soon as the light turned green, forget the asshats waiting for 3 cars gap before…
Rush hour is caused by over capacity but it is most definitely exacerbated by bad drivers. Also, with true self-driving cars capacity would increase — hugely dependent on the percentage of humans still in the mix, of course.
one day in this century it's going to seem so primitive that people actually had to drive cars themselves instead of punching in a destination and sitting back to read or relax until they reached their destination.
"Dynamo" is worse than Real Salt Lake, because it's using Soviet terminology.
Dynamo is derivative, isn't it? Dynamo Kiev and Dynamo Moscow are some of the most famous soccer teams in the world...
I didn't realize North America was the entire world.
Because it stinks of arrogance as you assume and put across the image in a lot of your sports that you guys are automatically the best country. And I'm sorry you don't have to call it the 'World Series' when you quite easily call it the 'North American Championship' or 'North American Series' (there we go I fixed the…
No one wants to watch MLS because they aren't good, why would you think anyone would want to watch teams that are significantly worse than that.
MLS tried to do the American team name thing at the start, and we got the Tampa Bay Xtreme Nacho Cheeze Ninjas.
What? Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake don't just roll off the tongue?
