Yeah. My initial reaction was it was just a way to wrap up a big loose end and get rid of some characters. The pacing and dialogue of this season has been terrible. The visuals great, the CGI much better, but the rest is showing that alot of the script was created from mostly unwritten story frameworks.

Don’t forget who Euron was fighting. He should have died from poison within the first minute of that disaster of a scene. He took at least two stabs or slices, plus how many hits from a whip. All of which should have been poisoned.
