So you’re going to build it into a capitalist sleeper right?

So like maybe this will start a fight, but isn’t the Tacoma TRDPRO the epitome of “bought not built”? Certainly I could buy a short wheel base CC and slap a bunch of those upgrades on and it’d be cheaper than having the factory do it? And maybe I’m the noob of the litter, but isn’t the point of off-roading that it’s a

As a person who grew up in a 1985 Volvo station wagon with backward facing third row, I’m a bit disappointed that you didn’t find it as stunningly awesome as I was hoping. I’m definitely not at a place to acquire one of these first hand, but I was hoping they’d be delightful enough that I could secure one in a few

This is my greatest concern. The majority of my peers (late 80s born) and those even a bit older than me (say early 80s) don’t know a thing about what the Cold War was like. We don’t understand the tension or the danger. And perhaps it was silly to believe that the Cold War could end when so many former officers of

Russians utilized advanced password guessing skills to gain access to information that was otherwise believed to be private. They then leaked that information in an attempt to provide President Trump with an advantage. The degree to which this impacted the outcome of the election may be debated. Whether they engaged

Gotta say, all of you are in top form today. Keep it up.

The vast majority of cyclists also have cars. If they own a car, they paid for the road. If they have pumped gas, they’ve paid for that road. That’s the way our infrastructure is funded.

FWIW, in most cases, the driver gets off without so much as a slap on the wrist. So I think you better look into the case law surrounding this.

Lol thanks for injecting some levity into this thread

I pay plenty for these roads. Just because sometimes I choose to use them differently doesn’t mean you get to impose your will as to who gets to use them. And perhaps the enforcement is just lacking because you’re abusing your attribution bias and don’t realize that people using bikes represent such a small percentage

You found a person who rides bikes. You also found a person who drives a big truck and bothers to give a damn for everyone else on the road instead of being a jackhole about my rights to get somewhere 10 seconds quicker. Just because you as a person choose not to ride a bike, doesn’t mean your rights a person who

If you want to privitize all roads by all means try to ram that through congress. But until then, you’ve got no good reason to limit road use to only the vehicles of your choosing. We build roads for the good of society, not the good of skeffles.

In some states, it is legal for cyclists to do an Idaho stop.

Bike lanes split from road traffic increase the amount of accidents. Road traffic simply needs to submit to realizing you shouldn’t be travelling highway speeds in residential areas and get along with other road users. You’d slow down for a garbage truck or a front loader moving between construction sites. So why not

Perhaps they ride on the sidewalks because your behavior while driving makes them fear for their lives?

Attribution bias. Also yes, cyclists shouldn’t hop between road and sidewalk. You’re correct. But also in some states, an Idaho stop is legal for cyclists so check your local ordinances.

Might be suffering from attribution bias there. Bikes stick out more in your memory and experience than a car and therefore you find their behavior more evident.

Massive inconvenience to your daily commute I’m sure. Perhaps you should start running red lights as well to highlight the problem. That way the local government can spend it’s precious little resources solving your gripe with a road user class that doesn’t look like you.
