Why would the NHL fund a completely unrelated organization that doesn’t drive any of their revenue? Us hockey gets almost all of their money from youth league dues, so I’d imagine this will result in cuts somewhere in their development program.

Their main source of revenue is from youth leagues paying dues (and some beer league). Paying the women more won’t bring anymore revenue, so theoretically, something will be cut.

“Do you know fast you were going?”

It’s still a shitty design whether or not any of us actually ordered one.

The 20 fans in attendance with be thrilled

Good lord that shit is ugly.

Nah, if you are flying with passes you basically have to wear business casual. They will refuse you if you are wearing jeans, let alone leggings.

Through the whole process, I think Oakland has ignored the economic repercussions of losing the team. The city’s bail bond industry is about to completely crash.

“Oh no. We’ll lose all those Raider fans,” said city officials, while unsuccessfully trying to keep from laughing.

My guess is that the eleventh-hour proposal was merely for the sake of appearances (“We tried! They were the last ones to say no!”), and the Oakland city government is not-so-secretly thrilled to finally be rid of a team and league they wish they’d never brought back from LA.

Sad Keanu is sad because he didn’t get to have tea with Miss McGill.

is canuck a derogatory term? asking for a friend who is DEFINITELY not a canuck.

Depends on the sport. Training stipends are more common in the women’s field because there aren’t as many opportunities to make a living wage outside the national team. But there are salaries paid in women’s soccer because they often can’t make enough to live and train on otherwise.

I’ve frankly been baffled by any pushback against this change. “Battle.net” doesn’t really tell anyone unfamiliar with Blizzard’s history that it has anything to do with the company.

The fact that he was having a hearing, which means he is going to be suspended was common knowledge long before you wrote that post so.....

Which is fine. If you accept the imperfections and whatever else, that’s fine. We’re not talking about happy couples here.

Yeah, weve had to talk about this, too. Because on the one hand, no one wants to be constantly criticized and if you feel you never do anything right you are likely to quit. On the other hand, criticism is sometimes valid and how we learn and I shouldnt have to sugar coat things like, The car seat is installed

As opposed to carry-on baggage which is being moved through scanners but not necessarily hand searched. Unless they have changed things from the last time I flew, the checked baggaged is subject to hands on searches. If your iPad has tool marks on the seams, it’s a big red flag, which wouldn’t be seen by a scanner.

I would agree with you, but the AP is reporting that the British government has also implemented this ban. That gives it some credibility to me.
