Completely agree with your post. I personally prefer that each character set exists in its own world. These superhero orgy flicks are just monotonous glop. Plus, getting really tired of watching cities being destroyed in every other movie... it simply isn’t necessary.

Even if they are based on comic book characters, the saturation levels look horrible on the people. Without even watching the video, just look at the side-by-side gif that was posted. While the backgrounds and explosions look great with the color boosts, the people look just wrong.

Listened to an interview on NPR this morning and they sound like really level headed guys enjoying their life now. Clips from some songs were played with the interview... and well, its not music that will be coming out of my speakers again. But enjoy if thats what gives you a rush and an enjoyable memory.
